Court Administration
The Court Administrator’s Office has the following responsibilities:maintain case records, jury management, monitor files, collect case filing fees and fines, participate and keep records, assist court customers and prepare court orders.

Driver's License & Motor Vehicle
Motor vehicle transactions include license plates, tabs, vehicle transfers, new vehicle and out-of-state registrations, boat, snowmobile, all terrain, motorcycle and trailer licensing. Driver’s licensing includes driver’s license renewals, name and address changes, identification cards and instruction permits.

Emergency Management
Kittson County Emergency Management is the local government office responsible for developing and maintaining the comprehensive emergency management program which is intended to reduce vulnerability to hazards, and enable the community to cope with significant emergencies and disasters.

The Financial Service Office oversees the County’s finances.

Highway Department
The Kittson County Highway Department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of County State Aid Highways and the County Road system, along with county, township, and municipal bridges. The Highway Department is also responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the county ditch system.

Payroll / Benefits
The Payroll/Benefits Specialist oversees the County’s Payroll.

Recorder
The County Recorder is the custodian of all legal records pertaining to real estate, birth, death, marriage, marriage credentials, notary public, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and tax liens.

Social Services
The department is responsible for administration of many programs in the areas of public assistance, child and adult protection, long term care consultation, and services for persons with developmental disabilities/related conditions, mental illness, other disabilities, and chemical dependency.

Extension takes the latest research from the University into people’s lives – where they live, work and play. Programming supported by Kittson County involves 4-H Youth Development.

Veteran Services
The Kittson County Veteran’s Service Office provides assistance to veteran’s, their dependents, or survivors in all programs of veterans affairs available at federal, state, and local levels, including Veterans Administration and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs.
